The Oculus Quest 2 (also known as the Meta Quest 2) is a wireless, standalone VR headset that can run entirely on its own built-in Android-based operating system, or connect to a PC for access to a wider library of VR titles. It is far more than just a gaming device, with its catalogue spanning entertainment, fitness, productivity, and creativity apps. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 processor with 6 GB of RAM, and features a fast-switch LCD display with a 1832x1920 per-eye resolution running at up to 120 Hz. Six-degrees-of-freedom tracking accurately follows head and body movement without external sensors, and the headset also supports hand tracking for navigating menus and playing some games without the controllers. It can connect to a PC via a USB-C cable, enabling access to SteamVR and the desktop Oculus store. Battery life is roughly 2 to 3 hours depending on use.
