The Quest 2 can run as either a standalone headset with its own Android-based operating system, or connect to a PC to access Rift-compatible VR software. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 platform with 6GB of RAM , and the display delivers 1832 x 1920 resolution per eye, which is 50% more pixels than the original Quest. The 256GB of storage gives you plenty of room to save games and apps. Six-degrees-of-freedom tracking translates the movement of both your head and body into VR with realistic precision , with no external sensors required. The headset can also be connected to a PC via Oculus Link, allowing it to run content from SteamVR and the desktop Oculus store.
