Players control bounty hunter Samus Aran, who investigates a space station infected with shapeshifting parasites known as X. It is a side-scrolling game with platform, shooting, and puzzle elements, and introduces mission-based progression that guides the player through certain areas. Metroid: Zero Mission is a 2004 action-adventure game, also for the Game Boy Advance, and is a remake of the original Metroid (1986) with updated visuals and gameplay.
