The Thames and Kosmos Robotics Workshop: Intro to Robot Design is a complete robotics engineering system for building and programming robots. Using sensors, motors, a core controller, and hundreds of snap-together building pieces, you follow instructions to assemble multiple different robots, with the versatile parts also letting you create your own original designs. Aimed at ages 10 and up, the kit takes a structured approach, starting with simple robots before progressing to an ultrasound obstacle-avoiding robot, a drawing robot, a ball-shooting robot, a crawling robot, a grabbing robot, a robotic arm, and a scorpion robot. The CB1 core controller wirelessly connects a companion app on your tablet to the motors, sensors, microphone, speaker, and LEDs, with the app using the open-source visual block programming library Google Blockly to make coding straightforward. A 64-page full-colour manual is included with step-by-step illustrated building and programming instructions.
