About this deal
The ASRock Thunderbolt 4 AIC R2.0 is a PCIe add-in card that brings Thunderbolt 4 connectivity to compatible Intel 500 series motherboards. It fits into a PCIe 3.0 x4 slot and is ideal for desktop PC builders who want to add high-speed Thunderbolt 4 ports to an existing Intel 500 series platform without upgrading their board. The card provides two Thunderbolt 4 Type-C ports, two DisplayPort inputs, a TBT header pin, and a USB 2.0 header pin. A single cable connection supports one 5K display at 60Hz or two 4K displays at 60Hz. It supports the USB 4 protocol with 40Gb/s throughput and is backwards compatible with USB 3.2 and USB 2.0. Up to six Thunderbolt devices can be daisy-chained, and USB charging is supported at up to 9V at 3A (27W). The R2.0 revision also brings a handy practical improvement: it allows a mouse and keyboard to wake the system back from sleep.
