The NatureBytes Wildlife Camera Kit is a build-it-yourself camera trap that uses a Raspberry Pi to take stealthy high definition images of wildlife. The kit includes a Raspberry Pi Model A+, an SD card with pre-loaded software, a camera module, a PIR sensor, and a weatherproof enclosure. The PIR sensor detects movement nearby and triggers the camera module to snap whatever passes by. A real-time clock module is also fitted to enable accurate date and time stamping of photos without needing an internet connection. The kit is suitable for a novice to assemble and enjoy through to more advanced users who want to learn to programme and add IoT sensors. The IP55-certified weatherproof case features a Fresnel IR lens for optimal motion detection and easy access ports. The case can also accommodate future modular add-ons such as night vision and solar panel charging.
