This is a custom art playtest card based on the well-known Mycosynth Lattice, a powerful artifact originally printed in the Darksteel set. Mycosynth Lattice was first released in Darksteel in 2004 and has been printed in several different versions. Its three abilities make all permanents artifacts in addition to their other types, make all cards and spells colourless, and allow players to spend mana as though it were any colour. It is banned in Modern due to how it combines with Karn, the Great Creator, but it sees play in Commander. This listing is a custom art playtest-style card, a format inspired by the unofficial prototype cards used during Magic's design process. Playtest cards are identifiable by the use of a black and white image imprinted in front of a pre-existing card, with a textbox at the bottom reading "TEST CARD - Not for constructed play." These cards are mostly created to be entertaining to look at and play a match or two with, and have not been put through the rigour that normal Magic cards are. This card is ungraded and suited to collectors and fans of casual or novelty Magic: The Gathering items.
