It is also a mixed reality headset, with full-colour passthrough cameras on the front and a depth sensor with hand tracking, letting digital content blend into your real environment. The Quest 3 can be used as a standalone headset or connected to a PC for access to more demanding titles, either via cable or wireless streaming. The 512GB model offers generous onboard storage for a large local game library. Because the battery sits at the front of the headset, extended sessions can feel front-heavy, making an aftermarket head strap a popular upgrade.
