It is powered by the Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 chipset, which Meta has touted as having more than twice the raw graphics performance of the Snapdragon XR2 Gen 1 used by the Quest 2. The headset makes use of pancake optics to reduce the device's profile and improve comfort for the wearer. It uses a pair of LCDs with a per-eye resolution of 2064x2208p, roughly a 30% increase over the Quest 2. As a standalone device running Meta Horizon OS, VR games and apps can be run natively on the headset, or streamed from a PC over USB-C or Wi-Fi. The 128GB variant has been officially discontinued by Meta, making used and refurbished examples the main way to find one. The headset supports mixed reality, blending digital objects into your physical space. It also supports hand and body tracking. This bundle includes a carry case, which features a custom-fit inner shell that securely stores the headset and controllers, with an added compartment for a charging cable and power adapter, while a lightweight outer shell provides on-the-go protection.
