Lemmings 2: The Tribes is a 1993 puzzle strategy game developed by DMA Design and published by Psygnosis, and is the sequel to the classic 1991 original. The player guides groups of anthropomorphised lemmings through levels, assigning them skills to help them reach the exit. The game introduces an overarching narrative and a more open-ended structure built around 12 distinct tribes, while also greatly increasing the number of available skills. Each tribe has its own landscape and cultural identity, including Egyptian, Circus, and Highland themes. There are 120 levels in total, with 10 levels per tribe. The game features not only the eight original skills from the first game but 43 new skills employed by the different tribes. Players can freely choose which tribe to start on from a world map and can save progress between levels, while a practice mode lets players try out any of the skills before tackling the main game. In Europe, copies came with one of 12 different collectible tribe pins inside the box, making complete boxed copies a genuine find for collectors. This Atari ST/STE release is presented in collectors condition and includes a rare extra, making it a standout addition to any retro gaming collection.
