LEGO 40686 Trade Federation Troop Carrier was released in 2024 to mark the 25th anniversary of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace and LEGO Star Wars sets. Originally a promotional set, it was given free as a gift with qualifying LEGO Star Wars purchases. With 261 pieces, the set offers both a nostalgic addition to a memorabilia collection and plenty of scope for display and play. The buildable vehicle includes 2 Pilot Battle Droid figures and 6 Battle Droids, who fit on the rear rack ready for the Battle of Naboo. The rack slides out and unfolds, just as seen in The Phantom Menace, and can store the Battle Droids' blasters. Aimed at builders aged 10 and over, the set is rated as a LEGO exclusive. An exclusive LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary brick is also included, completing this collectible display piece.
