The Walking Dead is a post-apocalyptic comic book series created by writer Robert Kirkman and artist Charlie Adlard, published by Image Comics from 2003 and running for 193 issues until 2019. The series centres on Rick Grimes, a police officer who awakens from a coma to discover a zombie apocalypse has overrun society, forcing him to navigate survival, rebuild communities, and confront human threats. Apart from a few specials, the comic was published in black and white. Issue 73 is the first part of Volume 13: Too Far Gone , and issues 73-78 are collected in Vol. 13: Too Far Gone, while issues 79-84 are collected in Vol. 14: No Way Out. This lot of nine consecutive issues therefore spans two story arcs set within Rick's Alexandria Safe-Zone community.
