A job lot of five Bronze Age horror comics from publishers including Marvel and Charlton. The 1971 revision to the Comics Code left the horror genre ripe for development, and several supernaturally themed series resulted, such as Tomb of Dracula, Ghost Rider and Swamp Thing. Marvel horror titles boomed once the Code relaxed, lifting prohibitions on supernatural characters such as vampires and werewolves, and throughout the 1970s Marvel generated new books and characters to meet that opportunity. Charlton's Bronze Age horror output was enlivened by writer Nicola Cuti, whose work on the Ghostly titles was complemented by artists including Mike Zeck, with further titles such as Haunted, Midnight Tales and Scary Tales rounding out the line. Graded as Acceptable, these copies will show obvious wear but remain readable and complete enough for fans who want affordable reading copies or gap-fillers for a Bronze Age collection.
