About this deal

This is a used, second-hand graphics card aimed squarely at retro PC builders and collectors. The GeForce4 Ti (NV25) was launched in February 2002 and was a revision of the GeForce 3 , with higher core and memory clock rates, a revised memory controller known as Lightspeed Memory Architecture II, Direct3D 8.1 support, and an additional vertex shader . Debuting at half the cost of the 4600, the Ti 4200 offered the best balance between price and performance of the GeForce4 Ti range, and still managed to hold its own against several next-generation DirectX 9 GPUs released in late 2003 . This Chaintech A-GX21 variant features standard core frequencies alongside VIVO (video in, video out) , and connects via the AGP slot. It is an enhanced GeForce3 design with a second vertex shader and Lightspeed Memory Architecture II; 128MB versions could have lower-clocked memory at 444MHz rather than 500MHz. The card supports nfiniteFX II, Accuview Antialiasing, 3D Textures, Shadow Buffers, and AGP 4X/2X , making it a solid choice for anyone restoring or gaming on a period-correct early-2000s Windows PC.
