About this deal
Forgotten Worlds is a side-scrolling shoot-em-up originally developed by Capcom for arcades in 1988. It is notable for being the first title released on Capcom's CP System arcade hardware. Set in the 29th century, an evil god called Bios has turned Earth into a desolate wasteland, and two nameless supersoldiers are created to defeat him and his eight servants. The game supports up to two players simultaneously, with each controlling a flying soldier armed with a rifle. The Atari ST version was developed by Arc Developments and released in 1989, with a budget Kixx re-release also issued that same year. It is a side-scrolling shoot-em-up that demands more skill than the typical genre entry, as a second button must be pressed to aim the character's gun in all directions. Players collect blue coins called Zenny from defeated enemies, which can be spent at in-stage shops on power-ups and weapon upgrades. The Atari ST version retains the arcade's music but features only four stages rather than the original nine. This listing is sold for parts or as not working, so buyers should check compatibility and condition carefully before purchasing.
