Dragon Ninja (also known as Bad Dudes vs. Dragon Ninja) is a side-scrolling beat 'em up originally developed by Data East and released in 1988 for arcades. The home conversions were titled Dragon Ninja in-game, with the "Bad Dudes Vs." element de-emphasised, resulting in the game commonly being known by that title in Europe. The game was ported to home systems including the Atari ST, with the conversion produced by UK-based Ocean Software and published on their Imagine label. Players take on the role of two street fighters battling past hordes of enemies to defeat the evil Dragon Ninja and rescue the President. Characters can punch, kick, jump, and execute spinning kicks, and can also pick up weapon power-ups such as knives and nunchucks. The Hit Squad release for Atari ST came out in 1991 as a budget re-release. This Hit Squad version works on the Atari STE.
