About this deal
**Note:** I need to flag something important here. The listing title mentions "Cloak and Dagger" in a 1975 lot, but Cloak and Dagger were created by writer Bill Mantlo and artist Ed Hannigan, and first appeared in Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man #64 in March 1982 -- well after 1975. The Cloak and Dagger connection to Strange Tales came later: after Doctor Strange's second series was cancelled in the 1980s, Strange Tales was relaunched as Vol. 2, #1 (April 1987), featuring Doctor Strange and Cloak and Dagger stories . So the lot likely spans multiple eras, or the "1975" in the title refers to the Doctor Strange/Strange Tales issues while the Cloak and Dagger issues are from the 1987 Strange Tales Vol. 2 run. I will describe the product accurately without inventing a connection that could not exist in 1975. --- A mixed lot of 14 Marvel Comics spanning the Doctor Strange and Strange Tales titles, offered in Very Good condition. Doctor Strange was created by Steve Ditko and Stan Lee in Strange Tales #110 in 1963; he is the Sorcerer Supreme and the main protector of Earth against magical and mystical threats. Doctor Strange Vol. 2 ran from June 1974 , while Strange Tales carried Doctor Strange reprints through issue #188 in November 1976. Cloak and Dagger are a superhero duo appearing in Marvel Comics, created by writer Bill Mantlo and artist Ed Hannigan, first appearing in 1982. After Doctor Strange's second series was cancelled, Strange Tales was relaunched as Vol. 2 in April 1987, co-featuring Doctor Strange and Cloak and Dagger stories. This lot is a solid collector's opportunity covering key Bronze Age Marvel supernatural comics alongside the fan-favourite Cloak and Dagger pairing.
