Double Dragon for Game Boy was developed by Technos Japan and released in 1990 for North America and Europe. The Game Boy version features gameplay similar to the NES version, but all of the main character's moves are available from the start, without the need to accumulate points to unlock them. The main game mode is single player, and a two-player Versus Mode is also included, with the only playable characters being the Lee brothers. This PAL Italian edition was distributed by Mattel and is a notably scarce regional variant, making it a sought-after find for serious Game Boy collectors.
