About this deal
Detective Comics Volume 2 was an ongoing superhero series in DC's New 52 initiative, starring Batman. Following the conclusion of the Flashpoint storyline, DC debuted 52 new series in September 2011 with new first issues as a partial reboot. This lot covers the early run of the relaunched title, from the prequel issue #0 through to #31, plus the two Villains Month variant issues. Tony S. Daniel wrote and pencilled the series in its opening phase, with backup features also included -- an early one starred Batman villain Two-Face, written by Daniel and illustrated by Szymon Kudranski. Following Daniel's tenure, John Layman became the new writer and Jason Fabok the new artist, with James Tynion IV writing backup features. The variant issues #23.1 and #23.2 were published as part of DC's Villains Month, commemorating the second anniversary of the New 52, starring Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn respectively. All 34 issues are presented in Near Mint condition, making this an attractive complete early run for New 52 collectors.
