About this deal

A pair of highly sought-after Bronze Age DC Comics from 1983, both graded 9.0 (VF/NM) and written by Gerry Conway. Detective Comics #523 (February 1983) introduced Killer Croc, created by Gerry Conway, Don Newton and Gene Colan, where he is depicted as a hulking gangster in a trench coat, extorting protection money. Detective Comics #525 (April 1983) features the first full appearance of Jason Todd, who was created to become Dick Grayson's replacement as Robin. These are genuinely important key issues for Batman collectors. Killer Croc has become one of the most enduring enemies of Batman and belongs to the collective of adversaries that make up his rogues gallery. In his original origin, Jason Todd was the son of circus acrobats whose parents were killed by Killer Croc, and he was subsequently adopted by Bruce Wayne. Both issues fall within the Bronze Age of comics and are part of a connected story arc featuring these two characters, making them natural companions for collectors.
