About this deal
This is a genuinely significant set for collectors. Dark Horse Presents #34-36 is the three-part comic book short story that forms the very first entry in the Aliens vs. Predator franchise, published in the anthology series from November 1989 to February 1990, with the final instalment in #36 marking the first ever official appearance together of the Alien and Predator creatures and the first media to bear the Aliens vs. Predator title. To preserve the surprise of the crossover, the first two instalments were billed simply as Aliens and Predator respectively, with the combined title withheld until issue #36. Dark Horse Presents #36 was published with two separate covers: one by AVP creator Chris Warner and a painted variant by artist Dave Dorman. Written by Dark Horse vice president and creative director Randy Stradley, the original Aliens vs. Predator comic caught the comics industry by surprise, and its success spawned an industry-wide trend of creating crossovers between franchises. A must for serious fans of either franchise, this set in Very Good condition includes all four covers needed to complete the story arc.
