About this deal

The Commodore MPS 803 is a dot-matrix printer made by Commodore for home computers, connecting via a serial IEC interface (MPS standing for Matrix Printer Serial). It is a successor to the MPS 801 and was produced in two versions: a typical brown finish and a black version for the 264 series of computers. The printer is compatible with the VIC-20, C64, C128, C16, C116 and Plus/4. It is an A4 format, 80-column bidirectional impact dot-matrix printer with a character matrix of 7 x 6 and a print speed of 60 characters per second. With the optional TU-803 tractor unit attachment, it can also handle continuous paper. The printer was manufactured by Brother, who produced a near-identical Centronics-interface model, the M-1009. A solid piece of vintage computing hardware, ideal for collectors or retro enthusiasts looking to complete a period-correct Commodore home computer setup.
