About this deal
The Commodore 64 is an 8-bit home computer first introduced in January 1982, and it holds the Guinness World Record as the best-selling desktop computer model of all time. It took its name from its 64 kilobytes of RAM, and featured custom chips delivering multicolor sprites and advanced waveform generation, giving it superior visuals and audio compared to rival systems of the era. The machine could use a standard television as a display, and supported a joystick, cassette tape, floppy disk drives, and a printer, among other peripherals. The Datasette is Commodore's dedicated magnetic-tape storage device, using standard compact cassettes to provide inexpensive storage for the C64 and other 8-bit Commodore computers. Datasettes were in fact the most common mass-storage devices for C64 and VIC-20 users, and remained popular in Europe especially, where disk drive prices were high. This bundle is listed as untested and sold for parts or as not working, making it best suited to collectors, retro computing enthusiasts, or those seeking spares. Buyers comfortable with basic fault-finding may find one or more items fully functional.
