About this deal
This is a used keyboard assembly removed from a Commodore 64G (C64G), listed as tested and working. The C64G was the last model of the Commodore 64 to be sold, retaining the iconic breadbox case shape but in a much lighter colour, similar to the 64C model. The keyboard can be either the original darker style with graphic symbols on the front of the keys, or the cream-coloured type with symbols printed on top of the keys. The keyboard PCB model across all C64 variants, including the C64G, is the KSR-A66YF. This spare part is ideal for retro computing enthusiasts looking to repair or restore a Commodore 64G machine. All C64 keyboard variations are interchangeable with each other and with the keyboard of the VIC-20. The keycaps are sculptured and spherical high-profile, and typical keyboards used the Mitsumi KSR Type mechanism with a PCB. Buying a tested, working original keyboard saves the time and risk of sourcing and cleaning a faulty unit yourself.
