The Puppet Lord was part of the June 1985 flyer for the C02 range, which featured 20 individual wizard figures , each with a distinct name and sculpt. The C Series ran from 1983 until early 1988 and was designed as a Variable Choice System to organise over 1,000 individually numbered figures into an easy-to-remember set of codes. These slotta-based C02 Wizard figures are each identified by their own name, and some are noted for amusing anachronistic accessories such as hand grenades, pocket calculators, and flashlights.
