About this deal
This is a rare vintage expansion board for the Multitech Micro-Professor, a well-documented piece of retro computing history. Here is the product description: --- The Multitech Micro-Professor MPF is a microcomputer released in 1981 that served as a training system for learning machine code and assembly language on the Zilog Z80 microprocessor. It saw widespread use as a training computer in technical schools and colleges worldwide, helping a generation of engineers and programmers learn low-level computing. For the German-language market, the Christiani educational organisation issued a microprocessor course built around the MPF-1 and created an I/O board that connected to both the processor bus and the PIO/CTC bus. The Christiani board interfaces with an 8255 PPI as well as the Z80 PIO, providing access to relays, LEDs and switches, though only one bus connection can be used at a time. This makes it a genuinely scarce piece of vintage educational hardware, ideal for collectors or enthusiasts restoring an MPF system. This item is sold untested and as spares or repair only.
