The Hesai Pandar40P is a 40-channel mechanical lidar that produces 360-degree 3D imaging by rotating 40 laser diodes inside its housing. It delivers a detection range of up to 200 metres at 10% reflectivity , making it well suited to demanding outdoor environments. Each beam emitted carries a unique code, and only beams with a matching code are accepted into the point cloud, with non-matching returns rejected -- a full interference-rejection system that keeps the point cloud clean when multiple units operate nearby. It accepts a wide voltage input of DC 9-48V and outputs point cloud and GPS data packets over 100 Mbps Ethernet UDP/IP. The Pandar40P serves a wide range of industries, including autonomous driving, HD mapping, and logistics.
