The C.Scope MXL2 is a high-performance locator specifically designed to detect, identify and trace buried pipes and cables reliably and accurately, even in the most congested areas. It is especially useful for utility technicians and maintenance engineers who need to identify the route of a particular pipe or cable. The MXL2 is driven by powerful Digital Signal Processor technology, with advanced software enabling performance levels normally associated with high-end pipe and cable surveying instruments. It features multiple detection modes including Power mode, which detects live buried electricity cables, Radio mode, which picks up re-radiated signals present on metal pipes and cables, and Transmitter mode for use with a compatible C.Scope transmitter. Simultaneous 33+131kHz signal detection gives the MXL2 strong tracing capabilities, while 8kHz traces deeper and over longer distances, and the ultra-low 512/640Hz frequency is suited to specialist tracing. The MXL2 also delivers improved signal detection sensitivity and better noise rejection, making it capable of detecting even the smallest signals in areas of high service density.
