This used Brocade 6510 is an enterprise-class 16G Fibre Channel SAN switch aimed at data centres running virtualised, private cloud, or high-performance storage workloads. It delivers an aggregate 768 Gb/s throughput in a compact 1U rack-mountable chassis , and supports auto-sensing of 2, 4, 8, or 16 Gb/s Fibre Channel speeds. Management connectivity includes a Fast Ethernet RJ45 port, a console RJ45 port, and a USB port. The switch uses the Condor3 seventh-generation switching ASIC, which enables in-flight encryption and compression, ClearLink Diagnostic Ports (D_ports), and Forward Error Correction. Any eight ports can be trunked for 128 Gb/s Inter-Switch Links, and Exchange-based Dynamic Path Selection optimises fabric-wide load balancing by automatically routing data to the most efficient available path.
