This is a brand new, factory sealed copy of the 2005 Zathura: Adventure Is Waiting board game, published by Pressman. Based on the best-selling book by Chris Van Allsburg, the story follows two brothers whose house is launched into outer space when they discover a mysterious game. The game was also tied in with the 2005 Jon Favreau film of the same name. It is designed for 2 players and is recommended for ages 7 and up. Players race to reach the planet Zathura, and the game replicates the one seen in the film, incorporating a turn key which produces game cards, a robot which is moved along the board to thwart player progress, and a house puzzle which comes apart. The aim is to be the first player to reach the planet Zathura before the last piece of the house is gone -- if the house is blasted apart first, the evil Zorgons win. As a sealed, unused example of a long out-of-production tie-in game, this is a genuine collector's piece.
