The Xi Gundam is piloted by Hathaway Noa and serves as the counterpart to the Penelope in the anime film Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash. Designed by Hajime Katoki, the kit faithfully reproduces the large mobile suit, which exceeds 26 metres in the film, in 1/144 scale, capturing even the finest details to create a sense of density and volume. The finished model stands approximately 7 inches tall, making it one of the larger HG kits available. It features snap-fit assembly with no glue or painting required for a complete build, making it accessible to builders of all levels. The kit can be transformed from MS form to flight form by rearranging the legs and larger parts. It also reproduces the wing on the back of the body, the blade on the side of the leg, and the deployable movement of the Minovsky flight unit. Included accessories are a beam rifle, two beam sabers, a shield, open hands (left and right), holding hands (left and right), a rifle holding hand (right), and a set of foil stickers. The kit was designed to be a display counterpart to the HGUC Penelope when shown side by side.
