About this deal
Judge Dredd: Top Dog is a graphic novel written by Dredd creator John Wagner and Batman writer Alan Grant , published by Mandarin in 1993. The title story originally appeared in the 1991 Judge Dredd Annual and features the first ever meeting between Judge Dredd and Strontium Dog, 2000AD's second most popular character. Two further stories are also collected, including early Garth Ennis work on Dredd in the single-chapter Garbage Disposal. The longest tale, The Art of Geomancy, is written by Alan Grant and serves as a sequel to Dredd's encounter with martial artist Deathfist. It is a tense drama against a formidable foe, with artwork depicting a battered and ageing Dredd, underscoring that he is perhaps now vulnerable. A solid pick for fans of classic British comics and anyone interested in the Wagner and Grant era of 2000AD. The copy on offer is described as being in like new condition.
