This is a single pre-slotta Citadel metal miniature from 1984, listed as a Fighter Champion from the C01 range. The Fantasy Tribes ranges were a group of Citadel ranges dating from 1980 to 1983. Most of the Fantasy Tribes fighter range ended up in the C01 series in late 1983. The C01 range is a large group of pre-slotta miniatures that includes several sub-groups and many variants. The earliest Citadel figures can be spotted by the chunky metal bases integral to the sculpt; in 1984 Citadel introduced its first plastic slotta bases, after which solid-base miniatures were quickly phased out.
