This is a replacement servo motor for the electric parking brake found on several VW models. There are two versions of this servo motor fitted to VW vehicles -- a 6-sided Torx and a 12-sided Torx -- and this is the 12-sided Torx variant. Compatible models include the VW Passat B6 (2005-2010), Passat CC (2008-2012), and Sharan 7N (2010 onwards). It uses the same standard mounting points as an OE product and is a direct replacement. The pack includes the motor with 12-tooth Torx spindle, an O-ring seal, and two hex-style fixing bolts. It is designed to fit the rear axle on either the left or right side. Note that there are two types of rear motor available -- 12-tooth and 6-tooth Torx -- so buyers should confirm which version their caliper uses before purchasing.
